Kombucha is a fermented tea that originated in East Asia over 2,000 years ago. It was known for healing properties and called the tea of immortality.
Bootleg Bucha has created a refreshing, low-sugar beverage that is lightly carbonated and full of naturally occurring probiotics. Our kombucha is made with a special blend of green and black teas. After the tea is brewed, organic cane sugar and a SCOBY (Symbiotic Colony of Bacteria and Yeast) are added to initiate the fermentation process. After a few weeks, the fermented tea is flavored using juices and herbs and then bottled. Bootleg Bucha is a raw product; we never compromise the good bacteria by pasteurizing our kombucha. Containing probiotics, digestive enzymes, vitamin B, amino acids and antioxidants, our kombucha is great on its own or mixed with spirits to put a healthier twist on cocktails.
